Movers & Shakers

This tour explores Cleveland’s East Side, focusing on the scenic regions known as the Chagrin Valley and the Heights. It follows the winding path of the Chagrin River as it flows from inland communities north toward Lake Erie. Along the way, you’ll experience a landscape known for its natural beauty, charming towns, and a blend of rural countryside and elegant suburbs. The setting feels reminiscent of a drive through the English countryside.

Many of the industrialists who helped build Cleveland’s wealth were drawn to these areas, leaving behind Millionaires’ Row to establish homes in these quieter, more picturesque communities.

From River Road, the tour continues into the historic suburbs collectively known as “the Heights.”

Cleveland Heights

A vibrant, walkable community known for its diversity, tree-lined streets, and distinctive character. The neighborhood features an eclectic mix of architecture, including Arts & Crafts bungalows, Tudor homes, historic mansions, and classic front-porch Colonials.

University Heights

A small, welcoming residential city adjacent to Cleveland Heights, often called the “City of Beautiful Homes,” and home to John Carroll University.

Shaker Heights

Renowned for its thoughtfully planned neighborhoods, striking architecture, and convenient rapid transit access to downtown Cleveland. Includes a drive by Pail Newmans’ family home.

We’ll also highlight a selection of notable sights and attractions throughout these surrounding areas to enhance your tour experience.
